About Me
My background
Gymnastics After watching the U.S Women's Gymnastics team compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics and chanting, "Go Gaby, go Aly!" while jumping up and down on my sofa, my parents enrolled me into gymnastics at age three. I quickly fell in love with the sport, started competing at age 7, and moved to North Stars Gymnastics Academy, where I was invited to join its homeschool training program at age 9.
Today, I am 15 and going into my third year as a USAG Level 10 gymnast with hopes of competing for an NCAA Division 1 Women's Gymnastics team. I am a hard worker, coachable and committed to perfecting and progressing my skills. I am excited for the future!
Education I take online classes year-round to accommodate my 28.5-hour a week training. Math is my favorite subject and I work hard to maintain a straight-A overall average in my core subjects. My gym has an on-site homeschool program administrator and math teacher.
On the personal side I am the oldest of three. I like doing art projects, have been a Girl Scout since kindergarten and I am proud to have completed my Bronze Award. My troop performs community service projects. We take turns choosing and leading a project. Over the years, we have worked or donated to support military serving overseas, a children's hospital, displaced teens, a regional animal shelter, local food pantry, assisted living centers, our elementary school with beautification projects and an anti-bullying campaign, hospital workers during the pandemic, etc. We also have gone zip lining, learned archery, rock wall climbing and built an outdoor campfire.
During my down time, I enjoy going to the beach, hanging out with my family and friends, watching action movies, swimming, riding rollercoasters, traveling, making homemade pizza and jewelry, spending time with my puppy and listening to music.
My family is richly diverse. My maternal grandparents are from Italy, my late paternal grandmother was from South Korea, and my grandfather is a U.S. Air Force military veteran with German and Irish roots. I have a big family with 14 aunts and uncles, 18 first cousins, 2 second cousins and dozens of others in our extended group. We are close and I have fun spending time with them.

Ashley Umberger inspires me to be the best gymnast I could be. She is a former elite gymnast, two-time U.S. Women's Gymnastics National Team member and Georgia Bulldog.
